The London Pie'n'Mash shop coming soon
Very pleased to see a specialist food shop coming to the Old Town that really fits with Margate's heritage. It's due to open next week on March 11th in the shop that was previously the barber's that closed before Christmas. The shop will be baking their own pies at a friend's shop in London. I look forward to sampling some tasty pies and hope we will see more of this type of shop opening in Old Town.

Sounds great, is it going to be a takeaway or is it sit down.
ReplyDeleteOn a historical point it will be great to have a revival of London traditions in the old town.
Hi Tony,
ReplyDeleteNot sure. It might have a small number of seats. It's not a big shop, but casting my mind back to when I peeped in the door last week while they were fitting it out, I think there might be room for seats.
wish them all the best, no doubt will pay them a visit. Its such a shame this is one of the few places worth visiting in Margate.
ReplyDeleteI believe they will be having jellied eels as well as pease pudding. Very east end fayre.
ReplyDeletesounds good to me I shall give it a try
